Class Description

Hatha Yoga

  • Hatha Yoga is a classic and foundational style of yoga where you will be guided through the postures with an emphasis on proper technique and alignment.  Using postures (asana) and breath work (pranayama) you will cultivate strength through a well-balanced array of stretching, opening, and toning postures.  Expect to focus, drain tension, lengthen your limbs, and strengthen your core and legs!

Flow & Glow

  • Our flow class is a gentle combination of Hatha and a Vinyasa style flow class.  In this class, you will learn proper alignment while having fun with some of the elements of Vinyasa such as Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation) and Chandar Namaskar (Moon Salutation) sequences.  Those who enjoy a challenge or those curious about flow based movement will gravitate toward this class as a way to go deeper in their practice.  Flow & Glow helps you improve mindfulness, breathwork, flexibility, balance, and strength, but it does so in a less intensive way than a full Vinyasa or Power Yoga class.  This class moves at a moderate pace, so prior experience with Hatha or other styles will be helpful.

Gentle Yoga

  • Slow down and reap the rewards of a gentler approach to yoga.  Gentle yoga is appropriate for students of all levels, including those who are brand new to yoga, students who are recovering from injuries or experiencing limitations, as well as experienced yoga students seeking a slower and more introspective practice.  However, gentle does not mean easy.  These classes promote strength, mobility, and balance.  Expect to be challenged and walk away refreshed with a sense of calm and well-being.   â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Restorative Yoga

  • Restorative yoga uses a series of just a few simple poses, in which the body is fully supported by props. In each pose you will be guided to find maximum comfort, then you’ll remain in that easeful position for an extended period of time to promote deep relaxation and engage the parasympathetic nervous system.  Restorative Yoga has been found to positively affect sleep quality and overall energy. This class is appropriate for students of all levels, although some previous experience with yoga is recommended. Props are provided.

Tai Chi

  • Tai Chi is a Chinese exercise and meditation practice that involves slow, gentle movements, controlled breathing, and a meditative state of mind. It originated as a martial art, but is now more commonly used for health and wellness.

Yin Yoga

  • Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic, muscular (yang) styles of yoga. Yin incorporates long, passive holds (with no standing poses) to penetrate the body deeper than the muscle tissue, generally targeting the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.  This practice cultivates strength and flexibility, improves joint mobility, improves posture, and can release trauma in the body. Breathwork and mindfulness techniques are also incorporated to help the student experience peacefulness deep at their core and a sense of heightened energy throughout the entire body. The use of props and modifications makes this class suitable for students of all levels of experience.

Yoga 101

  • This five-week introductory series is perfect for those with no previous experience with yoga or those who want a refresher course after years away from practice.  Enjoy learning the basics of Asana (yoga poses), Pranayama (breathwork), Meditation, and Yogic Philosophy in an accessible and supportive environment.  In each class you will experience a balanced sequence of poses that will help you build strength, flexibility, and balance in preparation for moving on to one of our other classes. There will be ample modifications and use of props to assure your comfort and success! Please note, this series is only available with the purchase of a 5-Pack Class Pass and missed classes cannot be made up.

Yoga Nidra

  • Yoga Nidra is a relaxation technique that involves lying down and being guided through mental imagery to achieve a deep state of consciousness. It's also known as "yogic sleep" or "effortless relaxation".  Studies show 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 4 hours of quality sleep in terms of restfulness.  This practice is available to all levels but does require lying on the floor.
