About Yoga
Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that connects the mind, body and spirit. The classical Indian language, Sanskrit, if often still used by yoga teachers around the world. The word yoga means "yoke" or "to join". Yoga consists of poses (asanas), breath work (pranayama) and meditation (dhyana).
The original intent of yoga was to prepare the body for long periods of mediation. Today we recognize many benefits of yoga:​

Yoga Etiquette
1. Arrive on time
2. Stay until the end of class
3. Wear comfortable clothes that allow movement and is modest in nature
4. No strong perfumes or colognes
5. Turn off all electronics
6. Remove shoes
7. Respect the silence
8. Do not compare your practice to anyone else's
9. Honor your body
10. Put away props
